In 1970 Mary Harum (now Mary Hart) competed in the Miss America Pageant as Miss South Dakota and finished top ten. Don Mueller who produced the Miss South Dakota Pageant took these photographs of Mary in her crown and cape with the official car by the United Church in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Other images show Mary visiting the following year, participating in the Miss South Dakota Pageant and crowning her successor, Susan Inman.
