The Ganden Sumtseling Gompa Monastery (AKA Sungtseling and Guihuas) is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located north of Shangri-La. It’s situated in the town of Jiantang at an elevation of 11,090 ft in Yunnan province, China. The Monastery was built in 1697 and established by the 5th Dali Lama.
